Frequently asked questions about our tennis clothing

The name Tennis Insane was born in a summer camp in New York.

While working as a tennis coach at Timber Lake Camp, I once asked an American kid:

“Imagine you score a basketball shot from half-court. What would you say?”

Without even thinking, he replied:

“That’s insane!”

I loved the expression.

From that moment on, whenever one of my tennis players hit an incredible shot, made an impossible winner, or did something unexpected on court, I would shout:

“Waaaah… that’s insane!”

The kids found it hilarious that a Spanish coach kept using that phrase over and over again.

At the same time, I had started posting tennis videos on Instagram, sharing tips, drills and coaching content. When it came time to create a name for the account, there was only one option that felt right:

Tennis Insane.

What started as a joke between a coach and his players eventually became the name of a community, a coaching philosophy, and later, a clothing brand.

Because tennis is at its best when it makes you stop and say:

“That’s insane.”

Tennis Insane wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started with a kid who wasn’t supposed to make it.

The founder of Tennis Insane grew up in Madrid. His childhood wasn’t easy. Family difficulties, struggles at school, and being expelled from more than one school led many people to believe he was heading in the wrong direction.

For a long time, he believed it too.

Everything changed after a life-changing trip to Cape Town, South Africa. There, he discovered something that would completely reshape his future: sport.

What started as a passion became a purpose.

At 27 years old, after years of studying Sports Science, coaching tennis, working in summer camps in New York, and teaching at the Rafa Nadal Academy, he decided to build something of his own.

But there was a problem.

The tennis clothing he found didn’t represent him or the players around him. Everything felt too traditional, too polished, too country-club. Small logos, safe designs, and styles that could just as easily belong on a golf course.

It didn’t reflect the tennis he knew.

The tennis of public courts, long practice sessions, hard work, missed trains, early mornings, self-improvement, friendships, and dreams.

So he started creating his own designs.

At first, they were only for himself and for promoting his coaching business in Madrid. But players kept asking where they could get them. Friends wanted them. Strangers complimented them.

What began as a few personal designs slowly became something bigger.

Today, Tennis Insane is more than clothing. It’s a reminder that your starting point doesn’t define your future.

It’s for players who love tennis, who work hard, who stay curious, who keep improving, and who aren’t afraid to do things differently.

Because Tennis Insane was never built by someone born into the tennis world.

It was built by someone who fought to earn his place in it.

This isn’t country club tennis.

This is Tennis Insane.

At Tennis Insane, one of our core values is caring for the environment. That’s why we don’t keep accumulated stock: we produce each piece once you place your order. This helps us avoid overproduction and protect the environment.

Tennis Insane is more than just tennis clothing.

We are building a community for people who love tennis, modern tennis culture, and meeting like-minded players.

Through our tennis events in Madrid, players from all over the world come together to play, improve, socialize, and make new connections both on and off the court. Whether you’re new to the city or simply looking for more people to play tennis with, Tennis Insane is a place to belong.

We also teach tennis through our own methodology, combining technique, tactics, physical and mental development, video analysis, and real match situations.

Created by tennis players, for tennis players.

At Tennis Insane, we stand out through three fundamental pillars — our SOUL and core principles:

  1. Unique and different designs
Although there are many major tennis brands, nothing compares to what we offer. Every design tells a story: born from effort, inspired by a modern and rebellious lifestyle, and breaking away from the conventional. That is what makes us truly unique.
  2. Sustainability
We don’t keep stock. Each product is made on demand, which helps us avoid overproduction and reduce waste. Our clothing is also made with organic cotton and recycled polyester, making each piece more environmentally friendly.
  3. Social impact and the tennis community
At Tennis Insane, we believe tennis should be for everyone — not just for a privileged few. We support social impact projects globally, including collaborations in Uganda, Africa, where we provide tennis clothing to players and local communities.

As we grow, our mission is to make tennis more accessible, inclusive, and global, bringing the sport to new audiences around the world.

👉 These three principles are our SOUL — our spirit — and they are what make Tennis Insane more than just a tennis clothing brand.
